One of our Community's Finest Preschools
Faith's Preschool, established in 1988, is a small non-profit organization that offers a solid preschool education in a safe, loving, Christian environment. Typically, the children who graduate from Faith's Preschool rank among the highest in their academic developmental testing upon entering elementary school. All of our teachers are CDA certified or have a teaching degree. Each classroom is staffed by both a teacher and an assistant, and all staff are trained in First Aid and CPR. Faith Preschool's teacher-to-student ratios are lower than state requirements, allowing for more one-on-one time and direct instruction. Our Preschool Director is Darlene Semmelmeier who can be reached at (561) 738-5422 or [email protected] to answer any questions or to schedule a tour. Additionally, our Preschool Assistant is also available at the same number to answer questions. |

VPK (Pre-K)
Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) gives children a jump-start by preparing them for school and enhancing their pre-reading, pre-math, language and social skills. We pride ourselves on preparing the children for Kindergarten. Our Kindergarten Readiness rate grows each year. Children must be 4 years of age before Sept. 1 and reside in Florida to participate in the VPK program. A VPK Certificate issued from Family Central is necessary to attend Faith Preschool’s VPK program.
Curriculum
The preschool uses the Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) method of learning, and nurtures children in a loving and safe Christian environment. The two’s use the Frog Street Press Curriculum which is designed around brain development enhancing learning with natural curiosity and includes many activities. The three’s use Easy Breezy Preschool Curriculum also through Frog Street Press. It is a wonderful curriculum that prepares them very well for moving up to Pre K, which uses Scholastic's Building Language with themed units that are based on real life as well as Easy Breezy Preschool Curriculum. The entire preschool follows the same Bible curriculum: Group's "Hands On Bible." Each Bible lesson builds for four weeks so the children discover God’s truth in unforgettable ways, retaining up to 90 percent of what they’re taught!
Extra Activities
Our preschool offers a computer lab/library, science room, and PE classes. Children are given the opportunity to reinforce their classroom topics that include themes, alphabet, shapes and numbers in the computer lab. They also experience many hands-on, fun science activities every week, and participate in organized sports and music in a wonderful rotation that rounds out their week. Additionally, there are many exciting in-house field trips that occur throughout the year which include petting zoos, Library Lady, Dentist and many more.
Chapel
Children attend chapel once a week with one of our Pastors where they can sing, dance and experience an insightful lesson from the Bible.
Family Events
Throughout the school year our preschool families are invited to attend evening events including family dinners, dances, a beautiful Christmas and Easter Pageant, and more. We love to spend time with your whole family and get to know you.
